和多谷 沙耶（わたたに　さや）

兵庫県宝塚市出身。　

3歳からクラシックバレエをはじめる。2000年当時全国唯一公立高校で演劇科を持つ、兵庫県立宝塚北高等学校演劇科に入学。バレエ以外に演劇、日本舞踊、狂言、ダンス、声楽などの舞台芸術を学ぶ。故・秋浜悟史（劇作家）に師事。  

2003年大阪芸術大学芸術学部舞台芸術学科演技演出コースに入学。学内外で演劇、バレエ、ダンス、ミュージカルなどの舞台に立ちながら、京都放送局の子供番組、初代お姉さんとして3年間レギュラー出演。イベントやラジオ番組などにも多数出演。一方で幼児、大人初心者向けのバレエ指導者としても活動。2007年大学卒業後、一般企業に就職。

　しかし父が急死したことをきっかけに、もう一度「表現の世界」に挑戦しようと2009年舞台「SEKAI」でMichael Jacksonの師匠であるJeffrey Danielらと共演。

2010年4000人の応募者の中からMiss universe japan finalistに選抜される。約半年間のトレーニング期間を経て、日本大会のActing審査で高い評価を得る。上位5位以内入賞。

2011年から拠点を東京に移し、テレビドラマの出演やCM、広告等のモデルとして活動。2012年大韓民国で開催された、第11回江陵国際青少年芸術祝典に日本代表として出演。米国カリフォルニア州で開催された、Anaheim International Dance Festival 2012 Gala performanceに出演。2012年より映像とライブパフォーマンスの融合を極めた、エンターテイメント集団enraのパフォーマーとして国内外30ヶ国で公演中。2014年Estee Lauder Asiaの広告モデルに抜擢。

2015年に開催された第68回カンヌ国際映画祭 授賞式にオープニングアクトとして出演。

2018年韓国で開催された平昌オリンピック公式文化プログラムに出演。

2020年宝塚市立文化芸術センターのPRに関わる。

 

Saya Watatani

I was born in Takarazuka city, Hyougo, Japan. I started ballet when I was three years old. I enrolled in Hyougo Takarazuka Kita High school, majored in Theater, and planned on becoming a Ballet dancer. At Hyougo Takarazuka Kita High I developed an interest in both Modern and Traditional art studying acting, Nichibu (Japanese traditional dance), and Kyougen (Japanese comic theater). I also had the opportunity to study acting under the distinguished Mr.Satoshi Akihama, a famous Japanese playwright.

 

In 2003, I entered Osaka Art University and majored in theater.　During her time in university, I performed in many ballet concerts, musicals and also participated in many Theatrical productions. my activity, however, wasn’t limited to campus, as I was invited to join many events in the community performing on stage, as well as being a main actress on a Kyoto Children’s TV program three years running. I made numerous appearances on radio programs and even started to teach ballet classes to both children and adults.

 

In 2007, after graduating from University, I made the decision to forego the arts and entered the workforce as an office worker. However, due to the unfortunate and sudden loss of my father, I decided to once again try my hand at the world of performance art.

 

In 2009, Saya made her return to the stage appearing in the production titled “Sekai” (the world). I got the once in a life time chance to work with with Jeffrey Daniel (Michael Jackson’s personal choreographer.)

 

In 2010, I auditioned for Miss Universe Japan. There were four thousand competitors,

but I was chosen as one of the finalists and went on to place five.

 

In 2011, I moved to Tokyo and began making regular appearances on television, including many TV shows and commercials as well as making a name for myself as a model.

 

In 2012, I was invited to the 11th Gangneung International Junior Art Festival performance in Korea, and took part in the Anaheim International Dance Festival 2012’s Gala performance in California.

The Japanese Visual Artist Hanabusa Nobuyuki’s New Project “enra“.

I belong to this team as a performer.

In 2014, I was selected as  the  model Estee Lauder Asia.

In 2015,The 68th Cannes Film Festival closing Ceremony opening act.

In 2018, The official event for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics.
